Traveler not working under WM6.1

When installing Traveler Client to a WM6.1 device (Palm Treo 850), cliet downloads and installs, but will not configure. After entering user name/password/Server, client responds with “There was an error reading your configuration”. View Log reveals “Last Config Status:Lotus Traveler could not communicate with the Lotus Traveler Server (-1)”. I get the exact same errors when trying to install to a HTC Touch Diamond (WM6.1) as well.

Never have any trouble installing on a WM6.0 device (such as Palm Treo 750).

Traveler version is 8.0.1.2 Build 200808120832

Make sure you can access to your Domino HTTP server from the web navigator on your Treo.Try :

http://myserver/servlet/traveler

or

http://myserver.domain.ext/servlet/traveler

using the same login/password you try during the traveler configuration.

Be sure your proxy configuration and exceptions let you access to traveler.

Subject: Thank you all

Thank you all for your responses. Problem was resolved by disabling proxies preset by the telco.

Subject: How do you disable proxies

Just got my WM6.1 device to install Traveler on, am having the same issue, but don’t know how to disable any proxy settings?

Thanks

Mike

Subject: anyone know how?

I am getting the same error on my htc s620"there was an error reading your configuration lotus traveler"

Can anyone help please?

Subject: Solution

I just had the exact same problem on a HTC Touch Dual, and I solved it by disabling the phones proxy settings.

Subject: Traveler/WM6.1: Sounds like a network issue

Two possibilities come to mind:

The Traveler client syncs with the server over TCP port 8642 by default. Is this being blocked by the WM6.1 client for some reason?

If you set up your Traveler server to use HTTPS for initial authentication, is that protocol selected in the Traveler client config (rather than HTTP)?
