Traveler keeps initialising sync

I configured an Ipad with Traveler. For the first 2 weeks this was working fine.

Since 2 or 3 days ago, every time the mailbox sync’s, it removes all the emails and syncs them again like its the first time syncing. What i noticed is, when i set “Mail Days to Sync” = 1 Day its works fine. When i set this to 3 days or more, the problem re-appears.

Same user/mailbox has also Traveler on his Nokia N97 without any issues. I have also other users on Iphone without any issues.

I reset the Ipad to factory default and set it up again, Restarted traveler service, ran a fixup and compact on mailbox, but to no avail.

Please help.

Thank you

Subject: It happened again

This seems to happen with a particular email/s residing in the NSF file. These email/s do not show any signs of corruption or anything. They can be read from client and from a Nokia N97 running traveler.

I solved it by changing the “Mail Days to Sync” to 1 day. The particualar email/s would be older then 1 day.

This happened already 3 times always showing the same error:

[09/13 22:22:18.670] SEVERE DS-075 CN=User/O=domain ActiveSyncSyncSession.handleEmailSync#1771 581738 Exception Thrown: javax.mail.internet.ParseException: Unbalanced quoted string

Any ideas ?

Subject: Re: It happened again

From your description it would appear that there is something in your data that the Apple device is not liking, so it is starting the sync over again. Have you been able to identify which document is causing the problem?

If you are able to recreate this, then the Traveler support team would be interested in reviewing your trace logs. I have not heard of this specific issue, but make sure you are running on the latest Traveler code - preferablyTraveler 8.5.2 if possible. Or if running 8.5.1, use the latest fixpack (3) code.

Here is a link that describes log enablement and what is needed by L2 support. http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/dominowiki.nsf/dx/Server_logs_LNT852

If you can narrow it down to just a certain document, we would like to get a copy of the document so that we can try and recreate it in our labs.
