We are running 8.5.1 Beta and have Traveler set up to serve our iPhone users. We only have about 10 users on now so far.
The mailfiles are located on a different server that the server Traveler is running on. All but one user have no issues. One user however is experiencing an issue where the flow of email, calendar, etc (everything) stops flowing the the device periodically. I can see on the console that the device is making contact and syncing with Traveler…but if I look at the mailfile’s User Details–>Activity the server Traveler is running on has not hit that mailfile in hours. If I bounce the Domino server on the Traveler box…it works again for a couple hours then stops…until I bounce again.
Its like either Traveler or Domino just stops checking the user’s mailfile.
Make sure the information in the user’s person document matches exactly to that of the actual mail file on the mail server. I.E. the path and file name are the same including case.
Additionally you may wish to post to the Beta forums for improved assistance:
The path is correct…but in this user’s person doc the path is mixed case…not all lower case like everyone else. I changed it in the person doc…and then tried to delete the user and device in the traveler db…the person just comes back with the previous mixed case path. How do you delete a user and have it reload using changed info from the person doc? Thanks!
Subject: Thank You…this helped me resolved my Notes Traveler issue
I had a similar problem with Notes Traveler 8.5 but after examining the user’s person doc, I found that for the mail file there was an extra \ in the file path. Once I removed the extra \ from the file path, Notes Traveler is working properly for the user.
