Traveler Error Connecting to server

I have installed traveler on our server using the defaults, but whenever I start the task I get the error “Error connecting to server, Server no longer responding” This is all on the same server, so I cant see how it cannot be responding as everything else is working. Any ideas?

I assume the error you mention is on the Domino server (and not the client). On the server, it means that the server can’t contact some server. Traveler needs to contact the mail databases for the users who are using Traveler, and the mail databases might be on other servers. If so, that could be where the error is happening. If everything (Domino, Traveler, mail databases for all users) is on that one server, then it’s something else. You can look in the Traveler logs to see if they provide any other hints as to what is going on. If you need us to look at the logs, we’ll want them on level FINEST and you’ll have to open a PMR.

Yep, its all on the same system. The logs show a whole lot of stuff, but nothing I can see that is obvious. The errors are on the server, the clients seem to work, ie they connect to Traveler, but they dont sync because then traveler cant connect to the server.

For some reason Traveler cant find the server even though it is installed on the same PC, I cant find anywhere you tell traveler the server name or IP address, I thought it might be an entry in the host file, but i’m not sure what to put, the FQDN seems a good idea, but I dont know wher to find that either!
