Traveler doesn't understand middle intials

there seems to be a problem when using traveler and receiving an email from auser with a middle initial.John Q. Public is coming in as John Q.Public and thus the NAB can not make sense of who the user is to reply.

i tested it with an original email and one which the person replied to me, both times the traveler client shows an incorrect name.

If anyone has seen this or can recommend a solution, aside from the obvious move of changing the internal user names because this only fixes the company users not external emails.

Thanks,

keith

Subject: Middle initial with a period after it

The issue here is more likely the period after the middle initial and not the middle initial itself. Also, if the @ is included as part of the Domino domain, it may cause some issues as well. The . and the @ may be confusing the Traveler client into thinking that the address is an internet formatted address instead of a Notes formatted address (both of which should work, but you can’t have a combination of the two).

To get a real answer, you need to provide some more information which would best be done by opening a support issue so that a client trace can be obtained showing exactly what was sent to the client and how it was ultimately stored on the client.
