I have noticed that if I am not connected to GPRS and connected to Microsoft ActiveSync, I can Click on Check Server and it will say connected but if I sync it will turn back on GPRS and try to go on that connection. Is their anyway to force Traveler just to use Microsoft ActiveSync? This is a device without wireless. We are trying to figure out if we can use Traveler on a SmartPhone (no wireless) that doesn’t have a dataplan but uses Microsoft ActiveSync.
Subject: RE: Traveler and Microsoft ActiveSync
The Windows Mobile client for Traveler is designed to work with ActiveSync. Traveler is not doing any special network handling on the device (we just ask for a network connection and the device decides what connection to use). Apparently, when Traveler asks for a connection, the device is driving up GPRS.One thing to try is the “Allow wireless connection on device when connected to the desktop” setting on the PC in ActiveSync - Connection Settings. Sounds like you want that value to be checked.

You want that unchecked so that it is forced to use the AS connection only. Sorry about that.
