Traveler and messages in folders

Just realised i posted this in the wrong Forum:

I have several rules on my mail file which sort messages straight into folders. I have set Traveler 8.5 to synch one folder in question and the messages are being delivered to the PDA.

The issue is that I do not get any notification of new mail on the PDA. If I look at the folder list i see an unread message, but that is all the notification.

Is there a way of getting notification to work for folders?

I observe this as well running Traveler 8.5.2 on Android. This makes Traveler much less reliable on my device as I don’t receive notifications for emails that I automatically filter. I must manually check the folder to see if there are any new messages.

I’m wondering if a note about this belongs limitations and restrictions wiki for Traveler 8.5.2:

These pages look like IBM’s official documentation but they are user-editable. Should I or someone from IBM add a note about this to that page? Does that really do anything?

Anybody can edit it, so you can be free to add it. I can tell you it is not there now as it is working as designed (only alert on unread mail in the Inbox) and would take a design change to change. That is why the requirement was opened for this in 2009. If you feel that it should be listed as a limitation, you can add a comment in the documentation or change it yourself. The non-editable portion of the documentation is merged with the comments and changes from people like you each release (and then translated).

I sort all my mail with rules to folders and use the all documents view with an unread only filter to read incoming mail - is it possible to present the “all documents” view in traveler on my PDA with the “unread only” filter in place so i do not have to subscribe to multiple folders?

Same issue in latest traveler release.

Does someone know when this function will be released?

This is a big problem to convince blackberry users to migrate for Traveler.
