Traveler and large mail files

Does traveler and the iPhone have a limit to the size of the mail file being used? I have a couple users that have very large mail files. 5gb and up. largest one i have right now is 6.8.yes you read that right. I know… I don’t like it either. But anyway… the iPad & the iphone seem to have issues with these accounts. Email will only show on the device for about 5 days. Even if it is set to “No Limit”. emails that have been moved to folders still show in the in-box of the iphone/ ipad. We are using DAOS. so the physical size is much smaller, but i don’t think traveler cares about that.

Seems to me that its just to much for the sync process. what is the largest file size that can be used?

HELP… Its happening to certain higher-ups. yes i wish i could implement mail quotas on these mail files. But…

My traveler server is:

Windows 2008 64-bit

Domino 8.5.1 FP2 64-Bit

Thank you all for your help on this one.

Subject: Big mail files

I doubt its anything to do with large files as yours are tiny compared to mine, 51 GB is my largest! Pretty big huh? That currently connects to IPAD and IPHONE without problems running same versions as you. The only problem I get on a different ipad is new folders not appearing.

Subject: Try this

Launch Windows Task Manager and see if the ntraveler.exe task is running at very high and constant CPU utilization. In my case it was pinning one core. If that’s the case, try uninstalling 8.5.1.2 and download and install 8.5.1.0. In my case CPU utilization dropped to nearly zero and large mail files were processed normally. It appears that 8.5.1.2 has a runaway thread.
