One of my servers initially ran DOLS and used Internet sites. Offline services worked. I then introduced Traveler and Traveler worked but DOLS was unavailable to users. The Offline button in DWA disappeared and the offline tab in DWA Preferences stated that “offline services has been disabled. Please contact your administrator”.
I removed Traveler and restarted the http service, and DOLS returned.
I’m using Domino 8.0.2FP1 with the latest version of Traveler.
Is there any way to get DOLS and Traveler to play together?
Thanks,
Gary
Subject: RE: Traveler and DOLS
In Lotus Notes Traveler 8.0.1.x the Traveler Server will try to auto configure Internet Site documents. If you have existing Internet Site documents, this could cause some issues. This has been resolved in Lotus Notes Traveler 8.5 and later but there are some work around steps you can use for 8.0.1.x.
There are two ways to configure this to work.
- You can allow Traveler to configure the HTTP Server they way it wants to, then modify the Web Site document that Traveler creates to work DOLS as outlined in the Domino Info Center here:
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/domhelp/v8r0/topic/com.ibm.help.domino.admin.doc/DOC/H_SETTING_UP_THE_SERVER_TO_RUN_DOLS_OVER.html
or
- During install of Traveler, you can uncheck the “Automatically configure HTTP Server” option. Then you will need to manually verify that Traveler is setup correct. The complete steps are outlined in this Info Center topic - but instead of creating a new Internet Site Document, use the existing Internet Site docs and just verify the config is correct.

Hope this helps.
