I create an All day event i my Windows mobile 5 and syncronize with traveler, it appear correct in my Notes client, as a All day event. Then I edit the meeting in the mobilephone, change it to all day = No, set a start & stop time, put some text in then Notice field.Then I sync with Traveler and I got error (9) in Traveler. The information i write in notice field in the mobilephon are lost. The information from Notes Calender over write the information in the mobilephon, and it becomes a All day event in the phone withoute my new written information.I know that I cant change the appointment type in Notes Client but its possible in Windows mobile 5. And why does it over write the text in the body??

The simple rule is that if you can’t do it in the Notes Client (most likely a Domino server limitation/feature which the Notes Client is enforcing), then you won’t be able to do it in Traveler either.Traveler handles cases like this by ignoring the entire update from the client (type change, description change, etc.) and replacing it with what the server has (which is still valid in Domino). The error is not handled on a field by field basis, so that is why the body got replaced too.

Its hard to explain for a user that he must not do this way, even if its possible, even harder when the user dont like Lotus Notes. The question is why it’s not possible to change type in the calendar.With Traveler, Win Mobile is one of all Notes client, and my standpoint is that Traveler should handle this better and NOT overwrite my information.
