Traveler 8.5.1 on SMTP server - internet docs?

I’m about to install Traveler 8.5.1 on a Domino 8.5.1 SMTP server. I’ve a couploe of concerns:

  1. According to the documentation the new Traveler 8.5.1 doesn’t require internet site docs - and I don’t have any on domain - is install traveler on an SMTP server a special case that would require it?

  2. This server contains mail files that are currently being accessed via various browsers like ie and firefox - how do I make sure the non-traveler related browsers will still be able to access them.

  3. Od thing is this server has enabled the ‘Load internet configurations from internet server document’ but there aren’t any of those document and service has been working even after upgrade and restarting the server several times. Any explanation?

Thanks for responding

Traveler does not require Internet Sites - but can use them fine if they are enabled. On your server if you have “Load configuration from Internet Sites” checked, Traveler will think they are enabled. Might want to uncheck this setting to see if the server still works as expected and then install Traveler, othewise Traveler will create an Internet Site document for Web protocol.

Note: Otherwise there are no issues with running Traveler and other services on the same box - we have seen that many times done by customers.
