we’ve been using the traveler server for about a week now to sync an iphone 3G S. For testing purposes I installed another client on my Nokia E51.
The iPhone was supposed to sync via http on a UMTS/GPRS network through VPN. The initial sync was successful, but new mails have not been pushed. After I installed a WLAN access point everything went well.
- Are there any known problems concering network bandwith??
The tests with my E51 didn’t go well either: After installation intial sync was good. But I couldn’t get the ongoing sync to work. By the way the traveler client and the db on the server say that the phone is connected.
As I entered my office on the next day my phone was syncing immediately to my surprise, since I didn’t change any parameters. Then I had to reconfigure the WLAN access point and syncing stopped.
I made some tests:

When I delete an email on my phone, the changes will be synced immediately

When I delete a mail using my computer or when I get a new mail changes wont be synced.

When I restart the traveler process all changes will be synced. But afterwards the situation is still the same: no sync from server to phone, but snyc from phone to server…
→ Did anybody experience the same problem??
Unfortunately I don’t have any experience with stable traveler versions, since the only purpose was to sync with an iphone.
