I have a user that would like to search his trash folder when it is the current view (for whatever reason). I have been unable to get the search to work for the trash folder. Should this work? If so, what is going wrong.

This could be due to the change in how trash is handled in the new mail template. The standard trash icon at left is actually pointing at the ($SoftDeletion) view instead of the old trash folder. Since items in soft deletions are held in kind of a limbo area, they probably aren’t included in the standard indexing setup. BTW, if you haven’t already done so, you might want to adjust your soft deletions time interval in db advanced properties if you have people who like to keep things in the trash.
