Transfer Reservation (C&S method not Manually created bookings)

I have a query regarding the use of the Transfer Reservation feature in the R7 Resource Reservation database.

Having researched under this forum using the 2 links below, I have found that the Transfer Reservation feature is only applicable when a manual reservation is created directly in the Resource Reservation database. If the owner has to move the Reservation to another room at short notice when the user has booked a room via C&S, then this feature is not applicable.

Any ideas or thoughts on how a reservation could be transferred to another user by the administrator/owner (irrespective of manual or C&S booking method)?

My thoughts are as follows:

The meeting information is known, so the room could be found (db/server is specified in the room resource). The user’s calendar would specify the date and time. This could all then be used to locate the calendar entry in the Resource Reservation db and update the required fields, thus making the Transfer Reservation feature available to the user directly from their calendar.

The administrator/owner could override this (if the message didn’t pop up to say “This reservation is not manually created in this database and cannot be edited”). If this was available, the link to the room in the requesters calendar would be out of sync, which is probably why only manual entries can be transferred. To resolve this, you could in theory run the Remove Room code with the details you already know from above (providing the agent runs on the server and is able to access individual mail files).

Has anyone got any other ideas?
