I’d like to test transactional logging on one of our production servers and here is my question can transcational logging be enable on one server in notes domain only? I noticed that after enabling it in only one server doc and rebooting it is starting up with message “assigning new DBIID” and it does it for several databases including names.nsf so what will happen if names.nsf from server with transactional logging enable replicate with names.nsf on the server that does not have transactional logging enbled.also while enabling transactional logging in server doc I got message recomending to put transaction log directory on different drive then existing domino server install, since I would have to add more disks and additional RAID controllers to accomplish what I’m asked for and not sure if this is worthed does it real impact negativelly performance of domino server if transaction log are on the same disk where domino is already installed?
