Tracking Software

We are in need of reporting software that can track a person’s user.id when he accesses Domino databases in our Domino infrastructure (multiple servers.) The report needs to identify the user and the database he accessed and when. We need this software to comply with our current standards. I know that all Domino databases have the ability to track user activity. We need to analyze specific user activity, instead. Does anyone have tips or know of any software available to help accomplish this task?

Please feel free to email with a response.

Dear Benjamin! You can evaluate audit trail software at www.dysant.com (Dysant AuditLog).

AuditLog not only captures before and after values for each changed document in a Notes db (e.g. names.nsf db), but also identifies:

  • The source of any data, schema, or permissions change

  • The date and time they changed it

  • What data has been accessed, and by what user or application

  • How data was modified, and when

  • Who has viewed certain data

  • What design in Lotus db changes have occurred, e.g. delete agents or create new Lotus Script Code

Thanks to all for the responses.

You might consider looking at the Billing feature that is a part of Domino.

Subject: IN R6 “Billing” has been superseded by “Activity Logging” which is much more comprehensive.

Check out http://www.extracomm.com they have a product called SecureTrac which provides an audit trail for a Domino enviornment.

I have not used or evaluated it…
