Tracking Database Useage

I have need to track the usage of a database. Number of users per day/week/month.

I was just wondering if anyone could point out to me what I need to do to see this. (If I even can)

Hi Gary,

Two ways:

Go to DB Properties, 2nd tab

Under Activity click on User Detail

Tick Record Activity

also look at the log.nsf file on the approp server.

Go to view Usage by Database

Don’t forget the activity db (see an admin if it’s not set up).

You could also just write a db post open agent to log who, when, what db into some custom log db. Not hard to do, but might be a pain to implement if you have lots of templates.
