Dear All,
this is related to my previous (un-answered) posting :
error connecting to ServerB: Connection denied. The server you are trying to connect to has a different name from the one requested.
Then I continue to trace the Server (serverB) using its IP address instead of its host name/server name.
And it works!
the result is like this:
trace ServerB
Determining path to server ServerB
Available Ports: TCPIP
Checking normal priority connection documents only…
Allowing wild card connection documents…
Checking for ServerB /domain_name at last known address ‘100.30.200.2’ on TCPIP…
Connected to server DOMMAIL_TDM_01/BANPUINDO
when I try to trace to other server the result is like this one:
trace ServerC
11/15/2006 02:40:44 PM Remote console command issued by Domino Administrator/domain_name: trace ServerC
trace ServerC
Determining path to server ServerC
Available Ports: TCPIP
Checking normal priority connection documents only…
Allowing wild card connection documents…
Enabling name service requests and probes…
Address found in local TCPIP names table for ServerC
Connecting to ServerC /domain_name over TCPIP
Using address ‘100.24.200.2’ for ServerC /domain_name on TCPIP
Connected to server ServerC /domain_name
So anybody can tell me why the result is different though both of them are connected?
