Hi,I want to show a button next to a text field (named text1) by using computed text so that it will appear on browser but hidden on notes client.
So I try to add following values to the computed text:
@If(@ClientType = “Web”; “<input type=button value="Show" onclick="myJavascript(text1);">”; “”)
On displaying the form, it just show the text “<input type= …” instead of displaying a button I want.
But it really works on the sample application that I have copied, but not for my form.
Any ideas?
Subject: To show a button using computed text
Hi Harry,
You can put square brackets around the HTML tags. In that case it will be
generated to HTML instead of displayed as text.
@If(@ClientType = “Web”; “input type=button value="Show"
onclick="myJavascript(text1);">]”);

Subject: RE: To show a button using computed text
Hi Rene,
Thanks for your responese, is it @If(@ClientType = “Web”; “input type=button
value="Show"
onclick="myJavascript(text1);">]”); actually I tried it successfully after I
marked the computed text as pass through HTML.
Another problem I encounter is the text font shown on the button (here “Show”),
it seems that I can’t set the font type and font size either through its
properties on HTML tab or by adding the deprecated tag directly before
the <input …> tag.
Has anyone encounter this? How can I solve that?
Thanks in advance
