To Do List dates off by 5 CENTURIES after DST change

I have a user who makes extensive use of her To Do List, turning emails into To Do items to keep track of them. She has a Blackberry, but doesn’t use it for To Do items. We have WebMail in our environment, but she doesn’t use it.

Monday, March 10th, she suddenly noticed that about 25 of 153 To Do Items were now dated for 2507 through 2509. The days and months do not bear any relation to the actual due dates of these items (some of them already completed).

I looked at the fields of the “future” documents and compared them to the existing ones, and found this:

I’m noticing this, however:

Normal Alarm Settings:

$Alarm: 1

$AlarmOffset: -1440

Alarm settings for one of these “far future” docs:

$Alarm: 1

$AlarmOffset: -262379520

$AlarmUnit: D

Alarms: 1

I have no idea how these settings came about, why these documents were affected or HOW any of this happened. Any ideas??

I’d have a look at the $UpdatedBy field first to see where to focus the investigation.

Although the blackberry doesn’t store these documents it doesn’t mean that it’s not reading them (and potentially messing with the dates and saving after it’s “read”).
