The Lotus Notes/Domino Administrators at my company were put under a new manager that seems to have no clue on what it takes to do Lotus Administration. He is proposing changes that we feel could cause more harm than good. He thinks Lotus Administration is just like administering a Microsoft domain or Oracle systems. We have tried to explain that it’s not the same but he doesn’t seem to listen or get it.
Does anyone know of any documents that I could use to try and get through to my new manager on what it takes to administer a Lotus envirnoment? I’m looking for something fairly straight forward and direct to the point that my manager might be able to grasp.

what are your specific issues he is giving you? because there could be another way to explain it to him. I have been able to get other managers of systems.

The way I would approach this is by the changes that this other person wishes to implement. Do a little digging in the admin help and on this discussion board as well as on the 'web in general and build your own reasons, based on white papers and red books and other documentation. Also, it will allow you to build an inhouse knowlegdge base that is tailored to your environment.
Presenting just a document that isn’t tailored to your issues at hand might not work for you. BUT be warned, you might become the notes admin.
