We do not currently use TL in our 6.5.5 fp1 environments, so I am not aware of the details of the logs themselves. Questions have arisen about if/how email message transaction details might be viewed from this source of information. I’ve searched online docs and domino help for anything on that, but can not anything which describes what is there (or not). In the event you use TL and know:

Can the (offline?, online?) TLs be searched and read by “end users” (with appropriate rights) for specific content that may be of interest to hr, legal, mgmt, etc

If applicable and searchable, how detailed is the information that one can gain on e-mail events written to the TL’s, as far as the content relating to the messages themselves? Are the header and body of the message viewable or some subset viewable in the logs etc?

Obviously the transaction logging facility was not intended to be user-facing, but given the realities of compliance post SOX etc., has anyone had to grant access to others or otherwise perform searches against the TL’s and how has that gone?
