I have noticed from the Tivoli documentation solution brief that in order for you to run Tivoli Storage Manager for Mail(Domino version) you also need to install Tivoli Storage Manager Server. My question is does Tivoli Storage Manager Server neccesarily have to run on a seperate server other than the target Lotus Domino server or I can run both components on the same server ?

Hi,
we are using TSm in our Environment, due to the size of our Data Center TSM Server is installed on the Mainframe. I expect not to install the Server components on the same Machine for Performance reasons. I expect that you wish in the future to backup other machines too and therefore a seperate Machine would be wise.

The company in question is very small approx 50 users. What I need to know is whether I can run both components on the server. If not I would have to propose Veritas Backup Exec + Domino agent because their budget is also very limited.
