Tip: Jconsole dont recognize you as admin

If you receive the message:

“XXX is not an administrator for server XXX”

from Jconsole and you are in the ‘Full Access Administrators’ field (Server document->Security->administrators) is because Jconsole dont respect the ‘Full Access Admin’ field, so, you have to be at least in the ‘Administrators’ field.

This issue could be a little bit confuse, because you could think that if you have Full access then you dont have to be in a lower access level, but YOU HAVE!

In the Lotus online documentation say:

"You do not need to list a user individually in each field. Adding a user to the highest level of administrator access automatically grants that user all privileges listed for more restricted access levels below in the hierarchy. "

Obviuosly, this does not aply to Jconsole.

Subject: tip: Jconsole dont recognize you as admin - group type

hi,

if you use a group to give your administrator/s access, the group type must be ‘Multi purpose’. If you use an ‘Access control only’ group you also get the message “XXX is not an administrator for server XXX” if you want to connect to your server via jconsole.
