How to set thousand separator automatically on entering a numeric value ? Eg: When I enter 7896 in a number field and give tab out or save, the field should give a thousand separator.
Is there any option ? pls help…

Hi Tulsi,
If you are working in the Notes client you just have to check the Punctuated at thousands field on the second tab in the field properties.

I had already set that…This will work only when u set “Automatically refreh fields” in the form.
How is this possible without the form being enabled as “Automatically refresh fields” ??
If I set that, then all the field properties will be reflected.

I get the thousands separator when I save the document, without having the “Automatically refresh fields” checked. Right now I don´t know any other way, sorry.

You get that set in tab out or by what action ?

U will get that by enabling the option “Punctuated at Thousands” in Filed properties second tab.this will be working when the form or field is refreshed and this will be working when u save the document as well. Other than that u have no other way.U r also reporting that if u enable that “Automatically Refrsh Fileds”,the other fields get effected.So either entering the number u can just do manual refresh by clciking on F9 or while u save your document your task will be achieeved.
