When embedding an object through an agent, the document becomes “read-only.”
When attempting to open the embedded object (Excel Spreadsheet) the message appears:
“This document is read-only. If you make changes in the OLE object they cannot be saved because the document is read-only.”
The form that creates the document has no access restrictions placed on it. On the Form Properties Box, on the Security Tab (key tab), the “Default read access for documents created with this form” is set to “All readers and above” and “Who can create documents with this form” is set to “All authors and above.”
At some point in the process, the document is set to read-only after the object is embedded.
Not only is the embedded object not being saved after editing, none of the fields are being saved after I enter text into them.
I added SaveOptions = “1” to the document, but no effect whatsoever.
What is also interesting, when you look at the properties of the embedded object, on the Paragraph Hide When tab (shade tab), all the hide/when selections are checked…
Totally lost on this one — here are the links to my previous posts on this:
Any help would be great…
Thanks!
