The database has a view with “Default view for new folders and views” checked. But when running an agent/code to create RichText doclinks the default view is not recognised.
When analysing views in the db via LS debug there is in fact no view with .IsDefaultView as true.
I have done a fix up, updall and compact on the database to no avail.
I have deleted all the views and recreated them (cut paste), again to no avail.
I have tried changing the view that is default, again to no avail…
Ok, embarrass me, what blatantly obvious catch am i missing?

Good point, but unfortunatly the view is available to all.
Subject: Wood, trees and not being able to see…
It has nothing to do with the field “Default view for new folders and views” but a lot to do with the field “Default when database is first opened”, Which I have been staring at for hours and not noticing that it was unchecked.
Doh!
Subject: *Duh. Sorry, I should have caught that as well.
