This past weekend I was successful in upgrading the Traveler Server from 8.5.3UP2 to 9.0.1 IF6. It seems to be working well, however, while trying to set the default client level using the webpage located at ‘http(s)://yourhostname/LotusTraveler.nsf/xClientSoftware.xsp’ - I’m receiving the following error:
The TravelerAdmin data service must be enabled on the Domino HTTP server to use the Notes Traveler administration client. Enable the service and try again.
The error shown on the Server Console is: “XSP Command Error - Unexpected ServerSupport Error”
Some days it seems that it’s not worth getting out of bed…
It was the URL - I was only refreshing the page - when I went back to http(s)://server.com/LotusTraveler.nsf the page loads fine. Still weird, I only upgraded from 8.5.3… oh well…
Anyhow… Now that I can once again see it - question, Can I delete the older versions of the client? For example, I have 5 versions of the Android installer - nothing will use the older versions, and no-one can access them if they’re not set as the default - correct?
Thanks again!
I’ll start a new thread for my next dumb question…
This can be enabled in the Traveler web site document, configuration tab or if you are not using site documents, in the Traveler server document, Internet Protocols\Domino Web Engine tab:
It is a free text field so just edit and add “TravelerAdmin” then stop and start Traveler and HTTP tasks.
