I have set up an R7 Server for testing. I am trying to determine if there is a throughput difference between different versions of Lotus Notes Clients connecting to different versions of Domino.
I am testing 4.51, 5.08, and 7.02 clients connecting to R5 and R7 servers. I was able to get connected to the R5 server with all of the clients.
I can connect to the R7 server with the 7.02 client without a problem but when I attempt to connect to the R7 server with either the 4.51 or 5.08 client I get an error advising that “The signature on the certificate was found to be invalid” even though I am using the same id file that was used successfully to connect with the 7.02 client.

When you set up the R7 Server, I assume you have created a “first server in domain” (a new test-environment)When you do this, Domino uses a 1024bit RSA key for the server id which is not understandable for Notes 4 and 5.
create a new server-id with a maximum key-length of 630 (“compatible with all versions”) and replace your current server-id with that one.

HiI have exactly the same issue. Notes v5 client in our test env trying to access v7 server.
I don’t see any options for choosing 630 bits (compatible with all versions) when creating a new Server. Can you advise how to re-create the Server ID and choose this option.
