The Secutiry Settings are not applied in the policy

Following Steps were taken:1. Security Settings were created

  1. Registration Settings were created

  2. Explicit Settings were created

  3. Security Settings and Registration Settings were applied to the policy

  4. One user was created and the policy was applied while the registration

The result was the following:

  • the user is in the group which was setup in the registration settings

but

  • the Security Setting like Enforce Password Expiration, Required Change Interval, Allowed Grace Period were not applied to the user.

OK it could be, that those settings are only applied after the Notes ID is created therefore:

  • Notes ID was created and Notes Client was setup for the user: the Security Settings still didn’t apply.

  • The policy was applied to the user once again… some say, that the negative result is also a result but not in this case.

What needs to be done for the Security Settings (Enforce Password Expiration, Required Change Interval, Allowed Grace Period…) to take effect?

At what point of time do these setting take effect after new user was created and registered?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
