Hello All,I am getting an error message “The result of a computation cannot exceed 65535 bytes.” while composing a new form. The form has dblookups from a view which has 40,000 documents. If I do not do the lookups then what would be the best way to do this, if i can write lotus script which event should I write.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It’s not the fact thet you’re doing alookup in 40 000 documents. It’s more because the RESULT of the lookup exceeds 65535 bytes of data.
Try having a field which has a link next to it which looks like the helper button but is an image of it. When clicked it uses a picklist to open a dialog with a view containing the documents you need. If you need to restrict the documents shown use a categorized column and ask only 1 category to be used in the picklist view.
If you can’t accomplish that, then use multiple links to trigger a different lookup which will return less documents … i.e. breaking them up alphabetically (a-o and p-z) or more if those subsets are still too large.
