The probe has timed out for the following statistic: QOS.Mail.ISpy on (servername)

I have several events configured in my events4.nsf.

I have a hub server that has access to all the remotes in all of the countries. I have test mailboxes setup on all servers.

  1. Probe sends a mail message from the Hub server to the test mailboxes on ever server. Sometimes I get false positive triggers that send me an email because of the network latency or slow network. That is to be expected and I understand why I get the false positives. I’ve even increased the timeout to 50000 milliseconds.

  2. All servers probe themselves

  3. All servers have a self mail probe.

I get quite alot of false prositives from the self mail probe. Sometimes it is on servers that have absolutely no activity on them, or are under-used.

Does anybody have any ideas why these probes give such frequent false positives?
