I register a user in the Notes NAB through the Notes Client (not the web registration app). I’m specifying only their firstname, lastname, username, internet password, company name, “Other Internet Mail” and forwarding (email) address.
-
I put the user’s “Username” in the ACL of my nsf app.
-
I test their login in the intranet browser, everything’s fine, they are able to access the app. Note: I am not using domcfg.nsf (I was using it, then removed it because it was giving the same peoblem)
-
The next morning, I repeat step 3 above … “Invalid username or password was specified.”
-
I check the user’s document and the last modification was the previous day and time when I did it, so I’m thinking that tells me that no overnight agents have modified it. I also check the group document to make sure the username is still in it and I check the nsf’s ACL to make sure the group is still listed. no changes.

The only solution thus far has been to delete and then recreate the person doc, replicate the NAB from the intranet to the intranet server, perform “dbcache flush”, “load fixup names.nsf”, “load updall names.nsf”, “load compact names.nsf” on the server but surely there must be a better way?
any ideas?
thank you for any suggestions,
