"The document is already locked by <username>"

Hi,

Previously when my company is using R5.0.12, there is no problem that to allow 2 or more ppl to open up the same document in one of my application DB. (actually is all DBs in my application server)

Recently, we had upgraded to R6.5.1, and only some pilot users is using Client R6.5.1. However, they not able to share or open up the same document anymore, one of them will get this error "“The document is already locked by ”.

Question: Is there any feature is locks at the server end? or client side? I had make sure those DB Property, “Allow Document Locking” is not enabled.

Could anyone please advise on this.

Subject: “The document is already locked by ”

Check the design of the form. In the designer client, on the first tab at the bottom is the “Conflict Handeling” section. If the option is set to “Do Not Create Conflicts” you will get this message.
