yes, and thats ok.If you are creating a meeting, notes asumes you are the chair, so, you don´t have to include you name in the participants field.

You only have to specify the members names in the available fields.

If you check the scheduler you can see your name and the members´names to see the free time, and that´s why you are part of the meeting.

I hope this can help you

But as I said, I am the chair, the problem is not with my name is the name of my friend that I want to meet ! The error occurs when I put his name NOT MY NAME (I don’t put my name, it’s “my meeting” there is no sense…). is it clear ?

It seams as if you are creating a meeting using your colleagues calendar in some way. Check owner settings in your and your colleagues mail-databases.

no problem with owner settings…

Subject: Have You Found a Solution?

I have a user that is experiencing the same problem. She has access to her boss’s calendar. She is attempting to set up a meeting for him (he is listed as the chair) and tries to invite herself and it removes her name and lists the error message you received. Any help would be appreciated.

Subject: I Found A Technote On This

http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=475&context=SSKTWP&q1=the+chair+cannot+also+be+a+participant&q2=the+chair+cannot+also+be+a+participant&uid=swg21141456&loc=en_US&cs=utf-8&lang=enThis Technote doesn’t 100% address my problem though because the user is NOT the chair of the meeting but I can tell you how I fixed the problem. We re-entered the user’s name in the “mail file belongs to” area and that seemed to fix the problem. Hope this helps you.

I had the exact same thing happen to one of my users. I followed the instructions in the above technote and now everything is working fine.

The solution mentioned in the technote worked fine. I assume that the reason why this error occures is the content of the ‘AltChair’-field.
