If the parent document is in read mode, I get the ‘Cannot execute specified statement’. But I can’t put it in edit mode because of workflow reasons. All the help says on ViewRefreshUnread is “A database must be open at the workspace.”
Any other ideas?

Can you hook us up to the original thread, Tammy?

I think that was in reference to:
http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd6forum.nsf/DateAllFlatweb/528fa79b6ad7a35c8525736e005ac9e5?OpenDocument
and I don’t think I have an answer… unless you can set the view property “On Refresh” to “Refresh display”, which according to Designer Help…
Refreshes the display automatically before showing the view to users.

Thanks, Cesar, for linking up the original thread. Sorry for the wrong placement!
I already do have the ‘On Refresh’ to ‘Refresh Display’ on the embedded view.
I guess I just have to add a ‘refresh’ button right nearby to the embedded view on the form and have users click it for most updated information.
It’s one of those things that doesn’t seem like it should be so difficult! Thanks for the ideas … if you got any more, keep 'em coming!
