All,
Is it possible to change the colour of text in a text field to display to the user for validation purposes?
I know this can be done with rich text field’s, however, this is not ideal for what I require.
I’m sure I must be missing something.
Any advice would be much appreciated,

Not possible in a straightforward way …
You can do some nice things with hide-when formulas. But that’s all quite a lot of work.
