@Text in View an hour off in DST

RE: Similar problem: View displays 3/17/2007 (23:00) but date is 3/18/2007 12:00 AMPosted by Mike Kretzler on 9.Mar.07 at 07:13 PM using a Web browser

I have a problem with a view display using @Text on a datetime field – it displays an hour earlier, starting for entries after 3/11/07. If I show the field without the @Text, it displays the correct time. I tried building the display from @Hour and @Minute, but the same adjustment happended. (The Calendar and Scheduling went quite smoothly, by the way.)

Details:

I have a form with a Date/Time field that includes both date and time. When I enter “3/14/07 09:30 AM” into that field and save, it shows 09:30 AM. When I display that time in a view column, using @Text(fieldname; “T1S1”), it shows 08:30 AM.

Weird.

Computing the text version of the time in the form as a computed field and then using that in the view solves the problem. But why is there the problem?

Subject: Clarification

Different results from @Text for a datetime field if used in form and view when viewing dates between March 11 and March 30, 2007 (DST).

field value: 3/16/07 9:30 AM

whole field when shown in view: 3/16/07 9:30 AM

FORM (@Text(fldname; “T1S1”)): 9:30 AM

VIEW (@Text(fldname; “T1S1”)): 8:30 AM

Workaround: compute the time in a hidden field using @Text on the form and display that field on the view. Weird.
