TeamRoom Version 8.0

I am used to using the Teamroom prior to Version 8. After creating the new version (new application AND updating the design of the R6 Teamroom) the lookups no longer work. when adding a team member, the persons title, and location information are no longer found. Also, after creating many categories, the category field is not finding the lookup view. I have searched the technical support information and found nothing related to my problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Cheryl

Hmm. The TeamRoom template had very few changes made to it for Release 8. Just minor bug fixes. Are you running it in the Client or Web? If on the web, what version of Domino is the server running? Can you provide detailed steps to reproduce one of the problems?

We’re running it on the Client. The server is 8.02. I’m not doing anything different then with the previous version. I create the teamroom, add myself as manager and the server. Attempt to add members by clicking on the lookup. Use the address lookup (to our primary server, same as the one that the tr is created on) and find the person, but nothing in the other fields is returned. If I do this on a previous version, I get the resulting fields. This is also the case with the categories. I have replaced and refreshed the design. I have deleted cache. I still do not get anything in the lookup other then the name and I get no keywords/categories at all.

as far as the lookup when adding a new member, yes, unfortunately we had to make a change to use the Client “Select Names” dialog box (rather than the teamroom-created one used previously). The client dialog does not return the other data to the TeamRoom. We are hoping this can be improved in the future.

I cannot reproduce the Categories problem. Can you please give exact steps to reproduce this?

Go to TeamRoom Setup, enter Document Categories, Sort this list. Create Any Document Type (tried them all), try the lookup in the Category field, nothing is returned. The applications are indexed. Thank you for the updated information. It isn’t documented, at least now I know! Cheryl

Followed your steps; when I clicked on the Category drop down, the list appeared. Are you getting any kind of error when you click on the drop-down?

There is no error at all. We are upgrading our servers to 8.5 tomorrow nite. Is there a change in the teamroom template for 8.5?

Server version would not make any difference in the Category field.

There are a few bug fixes in the 8.5 template; nothing major. Also added support for Federated Calendar feature in the TeamRoom Calendar view.

Is there somewhere that you can attach a design-only copy of your teamroom database (including one document: the TeamRoom setup)? I could take a quick look at it to try to figure out why the Category field is failing for you.
