Tabs keep reappearing

Notes 8.5 FP1 on Mac OS X.

Everytime I start Notes, the same tabs, as well as the “getting started” tab appear. One of the tabs is for a message I deleted weeks ago, so when I click on it I get “document has been deleted”

Under preferences/windows & themes I’ve cleared the checkbox for “On Restart, reopen any tabs that were open when I closed the client” and yet still everytime I start notes, the same tabs appear.

Any idea as to how to fix this?

One of my customer’s user encouter the similar issue mentioned above, do you have any idea how to solve this?
