Table, Tabs on Left not hiding properly

I have a tabbed table with the tabs showing on the left.When I try to hide some of the tabs in the middle, it leaves a blank space where the tab was, does anyone know if there is a way to hide the space?

eg it looks like this down the left:

Tab 1

Tab 2

Tab 4

Tab 6

Subject: Table, Tabs on Left not hiding properly

I usually place the table back into rows and see where my hide/whens are — the main row (or tab row) may not be hidden or some other row/text line may not be hidden…
