Hi, I am writing an agent that simply creates a memo and inputs the info in all the fields. I would like to put a link hotspot in the body, for example a link to http://yahoo.com but will show as just “Yahoo!” The following is how my agent is set up.
body2 := “insert link here”;
@PostedCommand([EditGotoField]; “Body”);
@PostedCommand([EditInsertText]; body2)
Subject: Syntax for Link Hotspot
if you import an HTML file which only contains the URL link you want. A URL hotspot will be created.
Example:
Dim workspace As New NotesUIWorkspace
Dim uidoc As NotesUIDocument
Set uidoc = workspace.currentDocument
Dim s As New NotesSession
Dim db As NotesDatabase
Set db = s.currentDatabase
pageName = Yahoo!
url = "http://www.yahoo.com"
Filenum% = Freefile()
fileName = "url.htm"
filepath = "c:\temp" & fileName
'remove the file if it exists
If Dir$(filepath) <> "" Then Kill filepath
Open filepath For Output As filenum%
Dim serverName As New NotesName(db.server)
outString = |<HTML><BODY>|
outString = outString & |<A style="font-family:sans-serif,Arial, Helvetica; font-size:10pt; text-decoration: underline;" |
outString = outString & |HREF="| & url & |">| & pageName & |</A>|
outString = outString & |</BODY></HTML>|
Print #filenum%, outString
Close filenum%
Call uidoc.GotoField("Body")
Call uidoc.Import("HTML File", filepath)
'remove the file if it exists
If Dir$(filepath) <> "" Then Kill filepath
End If
Subject: RE: Syntax for Link Hotspot
I am not using lotus script, I just need something simple that will put a link in the body but shows text that I want instead of the url.
Note: this is just a simple agent which creates a memo with a link in the body.
