Raphael, l
Thanks for curing my blindness… I am stuck again with the syntax…
bID contains the universal id of the main document I have a handle on…
Form = “Project” & @Contains($REF ;“} & bID & {”) & StatusID>300 & StatusID <600) OR Form = “Inspection” & @Contains($REF;“} & bID & {”) & StatusID=350}
Subject: Syntax for db.search with variable
Try:
{(Form = “Project” & @Contains($REF ;“} & bID & {”) & StatusID>300 & StatusID <600) OR (Form = “Inspection” & @Contains($REF;“} & bID & {”) & StatusID=350)}
Subject: RE: Syntax for db.search with variable
Thanks for the reply Mike, no luck. It does not seem to like the “OR”
If I separate them it is working. I also errored as the status field is a text field. Here is what I have:
PISearch={(Form = “Project” & @Contains($REF ;“} & bID & {”) & @TextToNumber(StatusID)>300 & @TextToNumber(StatusID)<600) OR (Form = “Inspection” & @Contains($REF;“} & bID & {”) & @TextToNumber(StatusID)=350)}
thanks again for having a look
Cheers
Lisa

Ooops, I should have noticed that. Use | instead of OR in formula language.
