My company has an address book based on the personal address book template that is shared across the organization. When will I be able to synchronize such an address book to an iPhone using Traveler? We created the address book to keep the corporate directory clean, and the address book contains name, address, phone and email information for people both in the company and many outside of the company. Many use that address book as their source for addresses, email addresses and phone numbers so we don’t need to update so many personal address books. The address book is updated via a few administrative assistants so as to control changes. We have about 2500 names in that address book, whereas there are only 170 or so entries in our corporate directory.

There are two parts to this: 1) being able to do a name lookup in the non-user address book and 2) synchronizing the non-user address book to the device.

You should be able to do the lookup in many address books using Directory Assistance.

Syncing more than one address book is not supported at this time. There is a requirement open to figure out how this could be supported (for example, when a user creates a new contact, which address book does it go in? are users allowed to make updates to the non-user address book?, etc.).
