How does one go about initiating a Symphony upgrade within the Notes Client?
And how does one identify within the Notes Client which version of Symphony is installed?

Subject: You can’t today
you can not update the version of Symphony embedded in the Notes client. I believe the goal is once 8.5.1 is out, future versions of Symphony will be upgradable inside the client itself. Today, if you want Symphony 1.3, you have to run it side by side with 8.5.0 or 8.0.X.
The Symphony versions are tied to Notes releases:
Notes 8.0.0 - IBM Productivity Editors
Notes 8.0.1 - Symphony 1.0
Notes 8.0.2 - Symphony 1.1
Notes 8.5 - Symphony 1.2
