Hi,
I have been trying to make a report with Symphony Spreadsheets. What I am trying to do is
-
to extract the data from a NotesDatabase,
-
then insert the data to the Symphony Spreadsheet,
-
then create a chart using Symphony Spreadsheet
All of that needs to be done automatically by Lotusscript.
Has anyone have done a similar thing? If someone could point me to a direction, that would be highly appreciated.
Thank you.
Mel
Subject: wait until next week and you will see a few things around this
a bunch of Symphony API announcements and sessions will be done at Lotusphere
Subject: thanks
I am actually running the Lotus Domino 8.0.2 and Symphony 1.2
Do I need to upgrade to a later Domino version (8.0.3)? Or will there be a later Symphony version 1.3? Or both?
Will the updates at Lotusphere be available straight away or in the future?
Thank you
Mel
Subject: the answer has two parts
If you want to learn to do this using the UNO API then you can do this today. It’s just very difficult. If you want to use LotusScript or Java you will need to wait for Lotus Symphony 1.3 when the new Symphony LSX ships. I am not sure which version of Notes that will be included with but the demos work with 8.5 and 1.2 today. Probably a supported vs works issue there.
