I think the normal behaviour is that a Symphony application opens in a different tab from within Notes, but I don’t succeed in this: on my test machine it always opens in a separate window, as a separate application.
Is there any preference or parameter I should set somewhere? I’m running Notes 8.0.1 Standard on Vista.

Hi Martin,
The setting for where to open documents is in:-
File → Preferences - > Windows and Themes
You can then select whether to open each document in a new window, it’s own tab or to group documents from each app on a tab
The annoying thing is that this setting applies to both Notes documents and Symphony documents (i.e. you can’t have a spreadsheet open in a new window without the same happening for any other notes documents)

Thank you for your help. Ichecked the setting and it was already set as “open in new tab”.
But the problem solved itself magically… (even before I checked this setting): now it suddenly starts to open in an new tab page. Strange… I’m a happy (but still a bit anxious) person (you never know if It wil come back :-))
