Hi,
I have a problem using the @Command([SwitchForm]; “FormName”) when the document in question is unsaved. I get the error message “Cannot execute the specified command”. When I have saved the document I can change form freely.
Is there any way to switch between forms with the SwitchForm command before a save has been made?

In a word - No!
Why are you needing to switch form on an unsaved document as there are a number of workarounds for this type of scenario!

Hi Rufus and thanks for your response.
The document I want to view with different forms is originally an excel document where the users could browse freely between different pages before saving. They are welcomed with a page with buttons to the different pages and that’s where the problem lie. I’m trying to do the lotus version as much like the original as possible since people don’t like change. Just to get away from the first page (with buttons to the different pages) they have to save the document, which they might not even want to do at all.
I’ve tried using only one form with a master table (show only one row at a time) with tabs instead of using different forms, but since printing is important and I couldn’t insert pagebreaks within the master table that idea went down the drain.
I will probably have to set a flag of some sort that marks the document as “forcesaved”, if certain compulsory fields haven’t been filled out. Then have an agent delete these documents on a regular basis.
Thanks once again for the response.
Regards
Frank

I see your problem - it’s always nasty having to copy some other application in Notes.
Can’t really suggest anything that you haven’t already tried / suggested!
