Suppress Authentication in WEB

Hi All,

Wanted to know how i can suppress the Web authentication if “Anonymous” open any document which he do not have access at all.

Explanation: Suppose i have a document which contains the readers field and have some usernames but not anonymous.

Now if Anonymous tried to access that document it will ask for authentication box in IE.

What i want is “I want to redirect to another common page” if any user trying to access the document which they do not have access. I mean without showing them the autehntication box i want redirect them to some other document.

Why because, we are developing an application which public can read all documents. So anonymous access set to “Reader”.

Suppose in case of any documents contains the readers field it should not prompt them to enter the user name and password, instead it has to redirect to another page.

Hope my question is clear.

Please let me know if you have any solution/if you can’t understand exactly what i am looking for.

Thanks in Advance,

Suman

The only way you get an authentication promp/page is if the link has “&login”. Without that, users who are not permitted to see the document get a 404 error. Domino does not build document links that include “&login” by default, so that means the developer has control over what’s in the link, and whether or not the link appears at all.

Thanks a lot Rogers.

Will think about another way to do this if not we need to think about the deleting the readers field.
