Support of Linux Red Hat Enterprise plataforms

Until now, Red Hat Enterprise 2.1 WAS not supported for Domino, due to a problem on the kernel.

Next Version of Red Hat Entrepise 3.0 was shipped some days ago. Since it had the problem on the kernel solved, it seems it could be supported for Domino, but until now, there is no official statment of IBM regarding it.

Moreover, on the Red Hat web site, there is a list of supported applications under 3.0. A lot of IBM applications are mentionated there (including DB2, Rational, Tivoli or Websphere), but there is NO MENTION to any Lotus product.

I known I can go S.U.S.E instead, but I do not want to add another linux on my business (moreover, I already have a contract support for Red Hat). So, IBM/Lotus… What is going on with Red hat 3.0 ? Will be supported ?

Subject: How about == IBM Software - Linux ready == ??

YES - it’s not understandable. Most Linux servers in the world are Red Hat based. Additional there’s a big marketing campaign trying to convince people of Domino (Express-Offer). At the same time Red Hat is announcing that there will be no more security updates fpr version 7,8 and 9. Instead of investing $ 50M in Novell (marketing money?) IBM should invest in money/knowledge at Lotus Development.

From what I have heard, 6.04/6.51 will have support for RH Enterprise.Problem existed in JRE of Domino which is solved with new Domino versions.

Well, there is still some kind of problem, because I installed Domino 6.5 on RHEL 3 and the HTTP task caused the server to NSD right away.

I can confirm that RH ES 3 that is not yet supported by Lotus, works well if you upgrade JRE, but HTTP task freezes as well using a Domino 6.5.1 .

Really cannot work with RH 8!

Sorry for my vent, please post here if anyone have a solution.
